About Tailored Wellness and Ingrida Michmel

My journey began at the age of 6 when I was chosen to compete in the esteemed Soviet Gymnastics Program and continued through my professional competitive career as a dance & aerobic champion. I used my skills to create a health and fitness company in Lithuania – where I hosted a weekly aerobics class on national television. I then opened a personal training studio in Australia. I trained in Pilates and since 2006, I have run Tailored Pilates in London, which has since expanded into Tailored Wellness. This has led me to qualify as a certified GYROTONIC®, GYROKINESIS® Instructor and a certified Yamuna® body rolling Instructor. However, over the years, it has become evident that the body needs more than physical exercise to achieve its optimum potential for its best life. To complement my fitness qualifications, I have studied meditation techniques, Ayurvedic therapy, and Chi Nei Tsang, amongst other modalities. My passion for full body wellness led me to become a qualified naturopathic nutritionist from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, and a certified bioresonance practitioner according to Paul Schmidt.

My passion and commitment to exercise began at the age of six when I was chosen to compete in the esteemed Soviet Gymnastics Program. I was dedicated and worked hard; practices that I implement in my training even now. By the age of 10 I had become a national and international gymnastics champion.

Soon after, I sustained an injury that put an end to my gymnastics career and left me in a rehabilitation hospital where I slept in traction every night for two years. I was told I would never be able to take part in any physical activities again and wouldn't even be able to ride a bicycle. I refused to believe it and pushed myself to new limits, testing my will power and determination.

A few years later, I became a national champion in Sports Aerobics and Open International Sports Aerobics. I graduated with a degree in Sports Science at the same time that I was presenting a daily aerobics program on television. In 1999 I was crowned Lithuanian Sportswomen of the Year.

Always wanting to learn more and develop further, I went on to study various forms of exercise and now hold qualifications in Pilates, the GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® methods, Kinesis, Yamuna® Body Rolling, Reiki, Ayurveda, Chi Nei Tsang, Universal Healing, and am a Bioresonance practitioner, as well as a qualified and registered naturopathic nutritionist.

In 2006, I started my private practice in South Kensington to use my unique combination of knowledge and skills to help others. My vision is to empower others to live in wellness through working with individuals to together create a personal protocol that inspires their body to naturally heal from within and remain healthy & pain free. I incorporate all of my practices together with each client, and with my experience and their input, we create a bespoke program that focuses on caring for the body and mind both inside and out, that fits into their lifestyle.

Training sessions can involve components from each of the practices in which I am qualified, or could focus on just one. Every client requires different attention to suit their physicality and expectations. Sessions engage in specific exercises, which are all part of the overall planned journey which we create to enhance your movement and wellbeing.

My experience and knowledge across a spectrum of practices enables me to draw from specific modalities, individually appropriate to each client and work with them to create a bespoke program focused on exactly what he or she might need and deliver it in a manner that will comfortably fit into their life at this present time.

I went to Ingrida for Bio-resonance treatment. The improvement I experienced is amazing, and I got so much more than just a treatment. I had hay fever which affected my sleep as I kept blowing my nose throughout the night. My joint inflammation mainly my right knee and stiffness was getting worse, at times it would flare up, making walking painful. My eye sight, I presume from age, was getting worse. The first treatment, I was not expecting anything as I had similar treatment before in another clinic. Ingrida is so hospitable and made the whole experience comfortable and educational in an interesting way. I've learnt so much about my allergies, diet and overall wellness. I have already started on 80% of my diet, as I am waiting for my supplements to arrive. Since the second treatment I've been having good sleep as I no longer have serious sinus issues. The white of my eyes looks a lot whiter, and I can see clearer as well. I am able to enjoy my sports as my joint inflammation has completely gone. I will continue with what I learnt from Ingrida.

I’ve been coming to Ingrida for just over a year as I had recurring cystitis & became dependant on antibiotics. Within weeks of treatment on her bio-resonance therapy, & carefully following her suggested diet & supplements, my condition was cured. The relief is enormous. Added to that, the recurring pain in my right shoulder has vanished, & on this new healthy diet I was able to give up my caffeine addiction. My skin has improved, I feel alert, focussed & happier, & cannot thank her enough for her encouragement & generosity.

For so many years now, Ingrida has been my "go to" Pilates professional. This time, putting back the pieces after lockdown, the Ingrida tailored wellness solution was a gyrotonic programme. Three sessions & I could move again. She is amazing!!

I would like to share, my excitment that finally I found someone who can help me with my lower back and sciatica pain in my leg. After visiting different pilates studios and physiotherapists around London and even Harley St. and I felt that I just wasting my time and money. Finally someone recommended I visit Ingrida, owner of the tailored Pilates Studio. Ingrida carried out a very detailed assessment and explanation on what was occuring in regard to my pain and also how posture was not helping the pain. Ingrida's approach was very different then the other instructors. Her first focus was to elongate and realign my body and then strengthen. After a couple of classes I already felt so much better and less pain in my lower back and leg. The most interesting thing was that she was not focusing on my back or leg, but on my whole body as a unit, she even removed my inflammatory foods to reduce inflammation in the body to reduce PAIN. She has beautiful spacious studio, with different types of equipment, not only pilates, but Gyrotonic too! The other wonderful system I learnt at her studio is Yamuna body rolling. I would highly recommend to visit-tailored Pilates Studio for anyone, who really wants to transform your body. I would give 10 stars for Ingrida!!!
